A startup company is looking for an out of the box thinker and creative individual to support its web development efforts in establishing a platform for the company`s
business and product strategy and also bring forth new innovative ideas for the web product portfolio of the company.The individual will also get an opportunity to
contribute in all aspects of the company`s startup phase [from business development to sales/marketing]. If you are talented, and willing to take risks, you will have an
opportunity to be the VP technology or CTO of the company with appropriate stock options in the future.
Job Description:
The company is looking for a web developer, who can utilize state of the art resources in the industry to create an innovative web design for the company, and be the IT
champion for hosting and driving customer traffic to the company`s main site and product platforms. He/She must be proficient in state of the art tools needed for web
development in the industry, web analytics, and IT management protocols. He / She should also be proficient in communication skills, programming, c++, java, cold fusion,
server hosting [red hat linux, windows], Web 2.0 development, Mobile platforms design / development, iphone / mobile software programming and implementation, IT systems
administration, database management and integration. In addition to the web development and software programming aspects / projects in the company, the person is also
expected to contribute in all aspects of the startup`s business [on needs basis], through innovation and out of the box thinking. He / she should be able to multi-task
existing projects and also work on advanced software programming for semantic web development and design, including integrating, innovating new and existing software / web
programs for company`s business needs. The work also must encompass the fact that we are looking for maximum ROI on software and web content generation, work with and / or
interface with sales, marketing and product development, business development teams. The position requires the individual to be familiar with the next generation web
lifestyle, including but limited to web 2.0 programs and applications on web, mobile internet communication systems, internet sites like second life, gaming, animation
protocols and cloud computing.
The person should have the drive to work in a start-up environment, accomplish projects on time, and be flexible, and innovative. In addition, contributing to other
business units of the startup is an asset. There will be an initial performance evaluation phase for the position.
The company is in very early startup phase with 3 founders and we are looking to fill in 4th person [web development / IT expertise] to complete the team, and bring forth the startup ideas into a live functioning product. Meetings are in the evenings M, W, F [typically 5:30 - 7 pm] in white plains.
The position will report directly to the CEO of the company.
Preferred: proficient in english, spanish [reading, writing, web development], comfortable with web 2.0 lifestyle, Student pursuing MS / PhD with high ambitions, willing to take risks, and work in a early stage startup with the understanding that hard work pays off in the long run. Additional skill sets to contribute to other aspects of the startup is also an asset.
Compensation: 350$ per month [This is negotiable]. Stock options can be provided after sucessful completion of initial review phase. Salary will increase as the company gains ground through revenue and VC funding.
Other: Should be willing to go through a background check, sign non-disclosure agreement, intellectual property and confidentiality agreements prior to joining the company. The experience will be a great asset to the resume and if you are talented you will be given an opportunity to be VP technology or CTO.
